Audio advertising took centre stage once again at the Irish Audio Awards 2025—26. Our guests enjoyed food, drinks, live music, and of course, awards at the Irish Audio Awards 2025—26. Creating Connection
The hosts of the Stall It podcast, Darren Conway and Joseph McGucken, discussed their journey to creating a hit podcast with 300 episodes. Talking with Anton Savage, they shared their approach to podcasting, audience engagement, and the symbiotic relationship between the podcast and their social media presence, emphasising the importance of authenticity and creativity.
Earning Attention
Anton Savage and Alex Jenkins discussed the impact of social issues like the climate crisis, housing affordability, and loneliness on consumer behaviour. They talked through brands' responses to this, advised creatives on how to navigate through the changes in the content landscape, and how to make authentic work.
The Power of Music
This panel delved into the power of music in advertising, and its impact on emotions and behaviour. Ann Marie Shields from BIMM Music Institute Dublin highlighted the importance of supporting the local music industry, while Afrik Lennon from Father explained how they compose sound, and the scientific reasoning behind it.
Judging Creative
This year's judges got together to discuss trends in Irish advertising, such as the rise in speculative entries and the use of immersive storytelling. Each judge gave their unique perspective on the work entered, and encouraged creatives to continue making engaging and impactful radio advertising.
Live Music
As well as thought-provoking panels and award presentations, the Irish Audio Awards event also featured Martina and the Moons, performing songs from their debut EP. This year was the first year the Irish Audio Awards partnered with BIMM Music Institute Dublin to support emerging Irish musicians, and we strongly recommend that you listen to their music at the link below.
