The Irish Audio Awards night was an event like no other, immersing attendees in an audio experience. Taking place in Smock Alley’s historic theatre, we invited entrants to join us for a live radio broadcast where we discussed the current state of creative audio, alongside various experts and our esteemed judges. We look forward to celebrating the 2023/24 Irish Audio Awards on the 14th of March 2024. Sean Moncrieff mediated a panel between Ger Roe of Publicis, Rory Hamilton of Boys and Girls, and Deirdre Waldron of TBWA. The three delved into the role of Audio in the creative process as well as the business of creative audio.

Sean Moncreiff moderated a panel between Dean Jones from Scimitar Sound, Alex Ingarfield from Droga5, and Rob Timony from Bauer Media. The three discussed the craft of excellent creative audio. Dean Jones in his capacity as a sound engineer, Alex Ingarfeild as a creative director with her roots in copywriting, and Rob Timony coming from the exciting perspective of digital innovation in audio.

Sean Moncreiff discussed the process of judging and awarding the 2022/23 Irish Audio Awards with jury chairperson Pearse McCaughey of McCaughey Creative, and international judge Eduardo Marques of Publicis Groupe Benelux. The three look at the trends, pitfalls, and learnings from the first ever Irish Audio Awards.
